This Hallmark of Geneva certified watch comes in a choice of pink gold or platinum.
Caliber 2755 TMRThe new 471-part manual-winding Caliber 2755 TMR features an exceptional level of chronometric and aesthetic quality. Combining a minute repeater mechanism chiming on demand with a tourbillon, it drives hours and minutes hands as well as small seconds positioned on the tourbillon cage. The 58-hour power reserve is displayed on the back of the watch rather than on the dial. The sapphire caseback reveals this caliber adorned with hand-crafted finishing meeting the highest watchmaking standards.Developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin
Minute repeater: a much sought-after complication
Passed on from generation to generation, the minute repeater testifies to consummate mastery of the watchmaking art. On demand and at a press on a single pusher, the gongs of the mechanism audibly chime the hours, quarters and minutes. Watchmakers must have an excellent musical ear in order to adjust the gongs as one would tune an instrument.
The prestige of the tourbillon
The tourbillon is a complex device serving to compensate for the effects of gravity and thereby improve the precision of the watch. The 6 o’clock opening provides a chance to admire it, especially since the caliber beats at the low frequency of 2.5 Hz, a speed affording an opportunity to appreciate the rhythm of its pulsations to the full. The tourbillon cage is shaped like a Maltese cross and its hand-polished bar requires around 11 hours of workmanship.
A unique guilloché pattern
The dial of the Traditionnelle tourbillon minute repeater comes in slate-colored or silvered variations on the platinum models; and is silvered for the pink gold version. It bears a refined hand-guilloché pattern that reflects the traditional expertise of the Manufacture.
