Aleksandr Nesterenko «Art Deco»

It is only recently that I started following Russian watchmaking. My first Russian was the «Indicator» by Colibrica Design… my second was Konstantin Chaikin’s «Joker»… and just recently the «ART DECO» by Aleksandr Nesterenko. As you will be able to ascertain, my tastes are very varied.

It is only a few weeks ago that I saw in Aleksandr Nesterenko’s Facebook (his web site is not updated…) the «ART DECO». Its elegance absolutely stunned me. Resembling in design many other pieces yet having a very strong and distinct DNA.

Digging a bit deeper I like what I see. A very appealing design and most of all finishings and solutions, not all adopted from the traditional Swiss watchmaking school. The result is a very unique combination of case, dial and hands. A very intriguing combination for those that are much accustomed to the «Swiss way». As a matter of fact, it is one of its most valuable qualities.

In any case, I can’t wait to evaluate all of that once the ART DECO arrives at my doorstep.
