Montblanc presenta el 1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins en homenaje a los orígenes de la manufactura Minerva de Villeret

La manufactura Minerva, desarrolló el cronógrafo monopulsador militar de 46 mm con el calibre 19-09CH en los años 1930. El histórico reloj contaba con una caja de gran tamaño, algo inusual en la época. No obstante, fue este tamaño que permitió a los relojeros integrar el calibre 19-09, un movimiento de 19 líneas desarrollado en 1909 y originalmente pensado para un reloj de bolsillo.
Un cronógrafo monopulsador de cuerda manual
El nuevo cronógrafo que lanza Montblanc este año en edición limitada de 100 ejemplares, se en el cronógrafo monopulsador Minerva militar de 46 mm de los años 1930, como homenaje a los orígenes de la manufactura. Por lo tanto, el Montblanc 1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins alberga el calibre MB M16.29, un movimiento cronógrafo monopulsador de cuerda manual desarrollado por la manufactura. No obstante, este reloj es mucho más que una simple reedición, ya que conserva los elementos clave del modelo original tanto a nivel estético como mecánico.
La caja del Monopusher Chronograph Origins está concebida en una aleación especial de bronce que adquiere una atractiva pátina con el tiempo. Exhibe un fondo con tapa, parecido a los que llevaban los relojes de bolsillo tradicionales para proteger el movimiento. Su superficie se adorna con grabados distintivos en ambos lados. En la parte exterior del reverso de la caja estilo «oficial» muestra la cabeza de la diosa Minerva. El interior de la tapa lleva la inscripción “Reedición de un cronógrafo Minerva militar de los años 1930 con un calibre hecho a mano conforme a la tradición relojera suiza)”
Una tapa inspirada en los relojes de bolsillo
Asimismo, Montblanc ha empleado una técnica muy innovadora para crear la imagen en tres dimensiones de la diosa Minerva en la tapa del fondo de la caja. Cuando se abre la tapa, aparece la belleza del calibre MB M16.29 que es una reconstrucción auténtica del calibre del cronógrafo Minerva de principios del siglo XX. Al igual que en el calibre de cronógrafo original, el MB M16.29 incluye el emblemático puente en forma de V (cuyo diseño se patentó en 1912), una rueda de pilares, un acoplamiento horizontal y una frecuencia tradicional de 18 000 A/h. A modo de tributo a los movimientos históricos, la flecha de Minerva es visible en la extremidad del «bloqueador» del cronógrafo.
Finalmente, el 1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins se completa con una espectacular correa vintage de piel de caimán Sfumato marrón.
